what turbos are ok with a 2800 12inch?

I used a Ta/Te61 with a Garrett .63 exhaust housing in more cars than I can count... (Well kind of 
)
Many of the cars still had the stock D-5 and original GM built tranny still in them. Practically no downside to it, very good street turbo.
As Chris said, also the Te44/Ta49 work well.
