Okay, so a loooong time ago. I hurt my engine, i have been kinda babying it along the way but enjoying it, as it really had no symptoms, but i knew in the back of my head it wasn't performing 100%. It is finally time to replace my head gaskets, here within is my question -

I have been acquiring parts through the years for a full engine build and along the way have gotten two sets of ported cylinder heads... I was thinking of either 1) Selling 1 set and helping to fund part of the build [girdle, misc parts, etc] or NOW (2) i was thinking of using one of the sets since i have to replace head gaskets.... this dilemma is driving me crazy... I dunno how much longer it will be before i will finish the other engine and still would like to enjoy my car...

So please give some pros and cons or you opinions.....

Bolt a set of better heads on it and see what you got.

You know you could still sell one set and build a bad ass short block, and when its ready bolt your other heads on the new motor.

If I was running 12.1 I would swap heads just to get that 11 second timeslip
thats kinda what i was thinking... the heads that i would be replacing are pretty much bone stock.... the "extra" heads that would go on are "fresh" ported heads that had been 130+ MPH on another car.....before the freshening....

i dont know... i would sell them and have enough to pay for the girdle and timing set + some machine work..... decisions, decisions
