I may have the chance to buy a 87 GN for short $$

IT has problems, but the sun of a gun still runs well.
INFO that I know about.

Car was brought to new england about 2 years ago from
a Carlisle event.
While here it was beat alot,
Hardtop GN
Has 90k plus miles,
has bad paint only on trunk & roof.
Needs major detail cleaning,
Boost has been raised a number of times to the 24 range,
head gasket or both have been replaced.
Oil seems to be all over the block.

Would it be better to strip it for parts or
just use it as a daily driver/beater? or
Save for son so he won't joy ride mine when he get his licsense?

Does $2k sound OK?

If you can get it for $2,000, snap it up. Depending on the overall condition, it's worth more than that. I'd hate to see you part it out though, it could be a nice father/son project or a fix it up and sell it for more project.

yeah I hate the idea of breaking it up & having parts all over the place.

It is sounding like it would make a good driver/street beater.
Maybe down the road a resto project with sonny.

Sonny seems to be showing intrest in learning about all type cars.
Currently he works on his RC cars giving them upgrade mods. :)

If it would make a good driver you could always sell it to a poor college student with GN lust in his heart....... [*cough*] me [*cough*]..................

:D
