Im just trying to get people input on this one. I have been looking at a 68 that would be a project car, and I wasnt sure if I like it, or the 70 better. Thats why Im trying to get other opinions to kind of break them up a little. lol Both seem to look pretty cool.

I think I MIGHT like the front end a little better on the 70, but I dont like how the rear quarters on the 70 look. They kind of flare out a little bit in a weird way above the tires going from front to back. The 68 doesnt.

Throw out some opinions!!!! =-)

This 68 is badddd! The rear quarters are flared out differently on this one(not stock) but its more the front end Im looking at on these since they are essentially the same besides that.

I like the top one, like the way the front fender blends into the headlights ...and the stance is awesome

I miss my 70 ls6. Sold it 97 so i could buy my house. sold my 70 gs stage one also:mad: I love all late 60's gm cars .They all had great body lines. But I have a soft spot for the 70 models. when my limited is done a grand sport is next and i have my eye on one that has been sitting since 87 with a kenne bell built 455. I think the corvette is going to have to find a new home:frown:

looks like nobody really cares for the 68. I can get a 68 for a couple grand, and its a ss396, but now im wondering. what doyou guys think? Dont get it and look for a 70 project, or go for the 68? I found a 70 for a couple thousand, but its not an ss.

I have had two 70's! Love those heavy ass cars. Will own another 70 one of these's days. Divorce caused the last one to go away!

'67, '69, and '70. Can't seem to narrow it down further than that. Here's my '69

"I can get a 68 for a couple grand, and its a ss396." I'd hop ALL over that, if it's a real SS. I've seen restored ones going for 15-25K. Personally though, I like the 66-67 models. JMHO.

Appearwise wise, I have always liked the early '64-'65 most on both the Chevelles & Elcos, or whatever years before the body change. I cannot qualify that statement with comfort, egronomics, handling, or anything else as I have never owned one.

You're dead right. Even if you didn't like '68s, a real SS car (unless a total basket case) is worth a ton more than $2000. Buy it and flip it, and then use the cash to buy which ever year you want.
