What's a decent torque converter

Where can I find a decent t converter and what's info on it? Does it make a difference for our HA cars?

Also it's a street driven car.....just wanna blow away some mustangs.....mods in sig.....any other mods that I should get please help me out........I have all mods in sig

PTC 10" is a great converter for cars 11 sec and slower. I also like a Vigilante 0 pump for alot of combos into the 10's.

Well I plan on throwing alky and a bigger turbo..... First I'm getting a 3 inch downpipe

put a te44 on. It will be a blast on the street with that converter. and some 50lb's

Just restall your stocker to a 2800. Big difference

Whats the average cost to get a stock converter restalled to 2800? Im about to install a TE44, 42.5 injectors, and a chip. I would love to smoke some tires lol.

I mean is it more beneficial to just get the stocket restalled or buy the 10 inch PTC mentioned?

Restall runs about $150 - $200 bucks .
On a HA this will be probably more then u will ever need

With a 87. Yes huge difference over the 2000stall stock converter
And 2800 's. Can be used with a lot of bb turbos that don't require as much stall when u upgrade in the future

I ran a stock converter ,stock motor, a 44 50msd's, reds pump, atr 3inch, atr chip. High 11's with instant spool. I think your converter would be fine.

I was running an ATR race chip. I think it was set at 34-36 timing. 25lbs of boost.

That's crazy, I got a TT 5.6 chip it has 20-18 timing on it for 16-18 psi

Just curious, is that the amount of timing alot of the older race chips had 34-36*?? Sounds like a lot!
