Im just trying to see what a good price to pay for a decent car is nowadays and all to keep from getting screwed on this deal.

Im looking at another hardtop car.

Im however wanting a t-top car for a daily family ride.

Depends on the shape of the car, any rust , and body damage.. How is the paint, how many miles.. What kinda mods , if any. Does it need anything? Bumper fillers? Tires? Brakes? All that obviously goes into what a good price for a Turbo Buick is. You can get a real nice car that needs little to no work for 10-15k Anything under 10k, is going to need more work usually..

In my opinion, it's a great time to buy bad time to sell. Details and location would help.

I think 9-11k will get you a pretty decent car right now. Then again, a T-top car isn't the best for a daily due to the horrible seals with the T's and how much water will come through. But that is just my opinion.

A subject I am familar with....

as it has been stated....great time to buy as the market is extremely soft for good drivers examples.....as for T-Tops you may wanna rethink that game plan unless you live in an area like Texas where it never rains....

This is especially true when considering a car that now is virtually over 25 years old.

Look for one with fewest owners and as stock as possible...bad paint is better than a lousy repaint...

Dennis - cut us a break - it rained yesterday for the second time in about 8 months.

There are some good deals out there right now. Better than when I bought in 2003 and 2005.

If you're going to use a TR as a DD make sure you employ some anti theft measures like a column guard from Steadfast, alarm system, anti theft switches (fuel, ignition, etc.), etc. Even if you are in a warm climate, I'd still avoid t-tops like the plague for a DD. And carry a box of spare parts in the trunk...

Don't forget the pet scorpion or black mamba that you "forgot" to take out of the car with you...
