I forgot to ask when I posted about the gasket but which filter should I buy to install? I just don't want to put any fram in so what do you recommend? It needs to be for a stock pan. Thanks

The one that comes with the Duraprene gasket.

Do a search, there's several Threads with the Wix brand Filter's Part#.
I can't remember the #.

I wouldn't buy a WIX filter after looking at the small o-ring seal used on the suction tube and the type of filter element. I compared this to the Balkamp that NAPA sells and it looks just like the AC one. The price from the dealer on the AC filter was outrageous (76.00). It had the same mesh filter screen and used the same type large suction seal on the tube, and for 23.00 it beats the AC price. The WIX one was 17.00. The P/N on the Balkamp is 17217. Check it out.

Same here...the 700 filter has a bottom feed opening for the fluid, unlike the 200 filter where the opening is on top of the filter...better pickup design for fluid
