Do you have an adjustable regulator? If so, increase the idle pressure to 43 with vac line off, then re-test drive. I gotta agree with lrayzer though, if your pressure isnt climbing higher than 33 you PROBABLY need a new pump (especially if it's a stock unit). I'll make another suggestion on pump supplier - racetronix. They are a supporting vendor and also have great products like brian at gbodyparts. The racetronix sender / pump combo is about as simple as it gets since it comes all pre-wired and everything. Just hang it in the tank, plug it in and fire it up. Keep us posted!
everything is all stock no aftermarket parts yet

Since you have a stock fuel pump, i'd start with a fuel pump and scanmaster. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator isn't an absolute necessity, but a good idea. The new pump should assure the ability to get the pressure up to par.

The scanmaster will aid in diagnosing other possible issues. A bad maf is a possibility, but i wouldnt go to the expense of replacing that until it is certainly bad.

I just ordered a scan master, Walbro gas pump, and gas filter for the old girl ..... We will see how it goes ... I checked the coil pack it tested good is there a way to check the coil modular ??? So I can at least make sure it's good!!!
