I am in the process of cleaning out one of my storage buildings where I have parts stashed and came across a small block chevy motor and crank. The block is a 4 bolt main "010" block with 4 inch bores. The crank is a 1148 casting which is a factory steel forged crank. I believe the block is standard and there is no visible damage to either piece. Anyone have an idea what these would be worth OR what kind of power they would hold until giving up the ghost(think twin turbo V8 in a datsun 240:eek: ) Thanks for any info you guys might know of. It is hard to sell parts like that.People want to order rotating assemblies and just drop them in. Plus you can order an eagle rotating assembly for like 600-800.I say put it together and see how much boost it can handle:biggrin:

you can look up the numbers on the front tab of the motor then trace it from there, if its 69 to 71 then it might be worth somthing for a restoration project

if it has a bowtie stamped under the freeze plugs then it has a higher nickle content..if i remember correctly, always room for error
