whats largest bore possible

I have a 153 block, just how far can this block be bored? it has a 4.004 bore now.

One of my oncenter blocks is 4.040, and I think that is about pushing it. Not much meat left between the water jackets..

The only way to find out for sure how much it can safely be bored is to have it sonic checked.

mine is 4.060 bore and no problems

I have run one at 4.090, you run out of gasket after that! Be sure to sonic check it!
