How tight should the knock sensor be? Also is a BWD or Delphi a good brand for a knock sensor?

14 ft/lbs and NO tape on the threads. You could use a small amount of thread locker, but not much.

The absolute hardest thing for me is to get a verified calibrated torque wrench for the 14 lbft rating.

Thanks everyone will try that, by the way if the knock sensor is in there gorilla tight will it affect knock readings on the scanmaster? I'm getting like 8.6 to 10 degree knock with an 5.7 tt chip WOT setting is at 5 which is 10% richer at wide open throttle 15 boost, and all vacuum connections replaced? My cat hanger is definetly bad would that have anything to do with the knock and the sensor being in there real tight?

Too tight = picks up everything giving you false knock. Too loose it doesn't pick up anything.
