Im just curious to see what people have to say about this turbo. I bought a turbo off of a member on here a while back, which was in PERFECT condition. But, its the stock hot air housing, and when he sent it in to limit he also sent in a te61 to have its guts put into the stock hot air housing. Now, im just curious if it still will work and have the same capabilities as a normal te61 or if it is diminished because its in the stock hot air housing. What are the specs on a te61 also? Im guessing its more than a ta33.

You may want to call Limit Engineering to get informed details on the turbo.
Happy reading!

Can they actually look up exactly what they did to this turbo, and tell me what its capable of, or specs?

Hmmmmmm ........
I belief not since they do not serialize the turbo's at Limit, hence no real tracking.

If it is in the stock hot-air housing, it may be close to a TA33 ....... Not sure. I think there were some issues with a carbon seal which is why Limit won't go larger than a TA33 in a stock HA turbo (??)

Only way to know is to call or send it to Limit for review.
Experts, join in.

From what I remember getting billed for, it was the same as a TA-33 turbo on the intake side, and a little bit bigger exhaust wheel on the exhaust side than a 33. Should flow close to 800 cfm. That turbo should be capable of low 12s in a hotair, maybe quicker.
