I did a few searches on goggle found a few things but not what I wanted to know..... figure I'll ask here.........

in the last couple years 2 very strange things are happening here and wondering if this is nation wide or just here in Ga/ SC .....

1. buying old police cars and leaving the spotlights on...sometime have them flipped up like they had to use it something....

2. having siren horn "bull horn" looking speakers either in the rear window or on the dash board

3. getting logo's painted on your car (sometime old police cars sometimes just what ever) some of these you can tell are very high quailty and some look like they just pulled the label off a candy bar and glued it to there car.... so far I have seen car with the following logo's : skittles, krispey kreme, snickers, cool whip (with a caption that read "now cooler and creamier"), milky way, baby ruth, popeyes chicken (he worked there also), KFC, M&M's.....
these logo's are normally very large on the door's and trunk even put the "TM" next to it..... I just dont get it....

so far all drivers of above vehicles have been black males 18-30 ish.....

I just get a laugh when I see them.... just wondered if this is a augusta thing or everywhere.... I know the old police car thing is in other places but never seen the "branding"

My older cousin bought retired cop cars for winter beaters every few years while in high school and college. They are cheap and the spot lights are left on them. Dont know about the bull horns, but the C.B. intercom was awesome for hootin' at the girls walking down the street. We got in ALOT of trouble in those days. God I miss'em.

yes, seen the bar code also! I mean, what ever blows your skirt up go for it....I just want to understand it..... I told myself next one I see and have the chance I'm asking.... only chance I've have since then was while working we got a call for a vehicle fire at the gas pumps and it was the cool whip car figured that was not a good time to ask he was pretty upset.... I bet he want drive with a leaking carb again, worse part he knew it leaked fuel told me so..... but was mad as hell at the gas station people for not having a fire extinguisher at that pump.

It came along with the donk craze. It's primarily a fad just to get attention. I think it became popular along with black males wearing the loud colored nascar jackets. Predominately a southern and mid west thing. There was a law enforcement bulliten that went out a while ago saying that it's possible that some of the logos were linked with certain drugs that dealers sold. Never saw that develop so who knows. I would never do that to my car, but it is pretty entertaining to see going down the street. I saw one that was a cereal box that had the nutritional value on it and everything, haha. It's funny what catches on as "cool". My dad told me that back in the day, him and his friends would take out the front shocks so the cars would bounce as they drove around, haha.

Cop cars have always been poular here! One of my earliest rides was a retired 68 Belvidere III OSHP 2-dr turnpike interceptor!

The coolest math teacher in HS always had a 'new' cop car for every school year.

It was always a good time to use the master key from your 80's Crown Vic or Gan Fury to move somebody else's car to somewhere different real quick for a laugh!

Most of us had some nutty door logo too.

A buddy of mine had the Coolest of all! 83 GFury. It was hard to spot since they were still in service at the time, you really had to scope the fat tires under it to pick it out oncoming! He rivetted a flat black steel box made in metal shop on top, put the whips back on, and ran "Super Trooper" across the trunklid, like 2 decades before the movie came out:cool:
