wheel backspacing

I am looking to get a set of weld wheels and was wondering what the backspacing is for a 15x8 rim or could I go with somthing bigger?
Was wondering what people prefer 26 or 28 inch tire?

I had a set of welds way back when ... 4 1/4 backspace from what I remember . I only ran 26" tires but now I would go 28s ... might have to do some tweaking for them

5.5 inch

Im currently using a 275/60-15 on a 15x10 welds with 5.5 inch bs no rubbing as long as I keep the air bags full.
