I have 4 wheels off of a 91 Pontiac Trans AM GTA that are the same as the ones on a GNX or TTA. They are in bad shape. There is rust over most of the brushed aluminum on the outside and brake dust covering the insides. With paint thinner and a whole lot of elbow grease the rust comes off but I'm getting real sick of inhaling paint thinner and getting headaches. Does anyone know of a place that will clean these up and paint them for me? Or an easy none lethal way to clean them up?

errrrrrr aluminum dont rust,im not even sure if those wheels are aluminum (i dont really think so but i dont own a set) eather way you could have them powder coated

Here's another method

You could put the car up on stands, put the rims on the back, start up the car and put it in drive. Then grab some fine sandpaper and hold it against the bottom of the rim till you have the nice brushed look you desire.
