Anyone have any tips on how to remove a wheel stud out of the axle?
Can you just put some penetrating oil on the stud and smack it with a brass hammer? I want to remove the stud with the axle still on the car and I don't want to mess up the axle. So I was just wondering what the proper way of removing the stud?

Kind of a dumb question, but I don't want to make a dumb mistake and end up replacing the axle.

Turn the axle to a spot where when the stud comes out suddenly it would damage brake components. Get a five pound sledge and wale on it!!

Thanx. That is what I needed to hear! I will just orient the axle and smack the crap outta the stud until it fires out the back.

This is a good lesson to not get lazy with the impact wrench...they like to strip out threads if you give them a chance!! I feel like a retard for messing up a stud.... I know better than that!;)
