wheel well clearances

i looked at an '87 GN today....drove fine, no obvious collision damage but the left wheel almost touched the inner fender when the wheel was turned to the left..is this normal?

Mine rub slightly (on both sides), but then I have 245/17s on an 8.5 inch rim. What tire/rim did the car have on it?

If it had 15's on it, than perhaps someone else will chime in.

yeah it had 235 60 15's on it

i have the same problem using a 7" rim 4" bs stock tire,but my body bushings are shot, hoping new bushings and springs in the front will help
