Looking for a Pass. rear for a GN. Please, no dents or corrosion. Not looking for new, but I would like something in VG condition. Thanks, Brian

Brian, if you find one let me know. I have been looking for years...
I have a NEW Rear Driver side that I am going to keep..:p

I'm going to be trimming the inside of this to contour with my rolled quarters. I don't want to pay for a new piece just to cut it ( that would be a real shame ), but the outward appearance has to be VG. No dents, dings, or corrosion. If it needed repainting, that would be OK. Thanks:cool:

Brian, please let me know how well this works out for you. I've never rolled my fender well lip because of the SS molding issue... I bought a 2nd set of SS molding for my Limited but have been very reluctant to actually use the tool on my 40k mile Pristine Limited.

Seems you would need to cut perpendicular slices through the flat back to the inside edge of the molding every 5" or so and then form it in place. Wedge shaped gaps would occur at every cut...would also need to screw or glue the molding in place in each section. Is that your plan??

What I had in mind, was to temporarily reinstall the molding, scribe a line at the point where it meets the rolled fender, then trim to fit. There will be enough surface left on the molding to to drill and reinstall the facory screws. The lip that was rolled, only incompasses the area of 2 screws, so the other 4 screws go back in there factory locations without mods. I, like you, hesitated about rolling the lip as my GN has 16,000 original owner miles. Finaly I decided that the lip can be easily tapped back out if need be, so why stress it. Now, I just need to fing a molding.

Bob, did you get my Paypal addy?. Thanks, Brian

I am not following your plan...when you get it done I would appreciate a picture. How far did you bend the lip??

I got Andrew's payment today and sent you a note to send to him...then sent you $20 to your paypal account. Of course it now looks like you had to prod me to do it...which is not the case :)

Regards, Bob

I'll take some pics for you when I finish up. I rolled the lip as far as it would go---about parallel to the outer sheet metal.

Check your PM's :)

Well, I'm still looking. FedEx folded (in half) the nice one I got from M233roller, so it's back to square one.
