Hey guys,

this spring i'm going to be putting wheels and tires on, and depending on the difficulty of lowering the car, possibly that too.

I have a budget of around $1500-2000.

I'm thinking about putting AR Hopster 16x8's on all corners (open to anything in the same price range that someone may suggest), but I'm not sure which size tire (in a Nitto or BF Goodrich) will complement this well for street driving and having traction . haha I want a good street tire, not something huge, but wider than stock ya know?

Second of course is the lowering question. I have no idea what would be the best way to go about lowering this car, but i'm looking for something like a 1" drop or so. of course i am on a budget, so the cheapest way out is something i'm interested in. Is it difficult to lower the car?

Basically what i'm looking for is an aggressive and hot rodded stance. I was thinking TTII's, but i'm not sure if I'm going to look like everyone else. its so hard to find an all original wheel that looks sick on this car haha.

thanks for your replies,

Joe

Tough thing about 16" rims is, your tire choice is very narrow.

I had 245/50s on mine and they just looked to short (low profile) even with the Eibach lowering springs. I searched for a taller tire to try to fill the wheel well gap and there wasn't any. I ended up going back to 15s because of the better tire selection and couldn't be happier. To each their own though...some people like the lower profile tire, it just wasn't for me.

For lowering - swap in Eibach springs. Inexpensive (around 225.00) and easy to change. It should drop the car 1 - 1.5".
