just wondering who is still around. im taking old timers from 2001 or before.

I'm still around. I got the car my senior year, December of 94, and I think I registered on the old board around '97.

whats up guys....i said the same thing myself...lots of new blood around here...but hey thats good to see too....later vinny

Here and there

Im still here - remember commin in as a newbie way back when I bought the GN on blocks behind a barn...knew zip. Thanks to the guys on this board - I got her rebuilt, restored and back to like new again - dont mention how much was spent !!!

Been here since Aug, 2001 according to the stats but that's not right. I bought my first GN in '97 and registered shortly thereafter. Hmmmm........

I stop in all the time, and read. Don't often find too much I can add, though.

I'm still here. Had my GN since 1990. Every one's history was lost when the site went down. I was a young guy with a young family back then. Now I'm so old I can't remember when the site went down. Later.......Danny
Well I guess it had to have been may of 01.

Still hanging

I was here when the crash took place. I can't remember when that was. My car is still not finished. Too much going on.

Hi guys. Originally registered '98 or '97 but I remember a big crash of the site and thats why our sigs say '01 and the month we re-registered.
Still lurking and post now and then. As I mentioned in a recent post I, among others Im sure, am guilty of just not being so inclined to respond to every thread anymore. Just about every thread I see now has been repeated time after time after time. All the info is already here (and gnttype.org) and plenty of it through the search feature. I love to help out and eager to learn more if there is anything new and interesting to read. At the very least I will sometimes post a link to a past thread to answer some questions.
We have actually accomplished something over the last 5+ years by the performance accomplishments that many hotair owners have acheived. I remember when 86/87 guys would always mention just one person with a hotair going fast when I was getting going with mine (Lee, as if you didnt know  ). Well, I know that to no longer be the case for sometime now, because they have heard of many hotair cars now going "fast". Even I have gained quite a bit of respect with my car locally for achieving more than was expected by some [with much less than expected to do so]. Hotair cars are now viewed as a worthy acquisition more so than in the past [not just the 86/87 version].
Its great to see plenty of newbies because that just shows the popularity of these cars is growing. The downside to us ("old" members) not posting/frequenting the forum as before [and moderators interjecting as well], plus the fact that many of the new members dont use the search feature to benefit from the past input from those who really know, is that [I have noticed] alot of so-so or even false info gets thrown around. That doesnt help our community at all if each "generation" (for lack of better term  ) is learning and plotting out ground that was already covered a decade+ before.
Just some of my opinions and observations, dont think Im out of line [but let me know]. Nothing personal, if someone is new at something I dont expect them to be miraculously an expert all of a sudden, and thats the point. Its just that some of the stuff I read now makes me go.. . Those who are thinking in the right frame of mind will know what Im saying and not take it the wrong way. Just my 2cents, back under my rock.

Still Here

Glad to see you back Boost231, now we need TType84 (saw him pull a sniper move in the general tech forum), twins, Drew Carlton (ATEAV8), Reds hot air, Buick from hell, No cooler, herb, and many, many, others. Also need new time slip updates for those of you that are still hot air.

I was here pre-crash, too. Late 1997 or 1998. I don't post as much as I used to (actually, the car collects dust in the garage more than it used to as well). A couple 'o kids will do that to ya.

I bring my son every time I take the car out. It's just finding time to go out cruising that's tough. Plus every time I take the car out I find something else that's broken.
