My male and female connectors are messed up on my SMC kit connecting to the pump and the tank...i went to radio shack and they didn't seem to have the right ones...where can I get those, preferably not the solder type...My alcohol doesn't spray and I have been trouble shooting this problem forever, I sent the controller to Steve and he says it checks out fine, I got a new pump as well...what else can be the problem, I want to change the connectors cause they look a little shady, but I don't even know if thats the problem....

The connectors are made of tin. Why not eliminate the connectors and wire it directly. Or send the tank back to SMC for upgrades/repairs.

I already sent the tank back...steve put a new pump with a new connector, but I need a new female connector to plug into that one...i guess i can wire it directly and that wont be a problem, but the other connector is basically built into the tank somehow I think its the float female connector...how would I directly wire that one...should I pull it out and take the connector off, then pull out the wire from the inside and plug the hole with silicone or something? Sorry I don't know too much about wiring and what not.

If the connectors on your harness are bad, those are available at radio shack. You'll needto solder them. Or find someone that knows how to solder. The main one is the pump one.. the low level.. well that one wont control if it sprays or not.

All else, send the harness to Steve. He can repair the connector.

Yea, I went to radio shack today and saw that...they had one that you didnt need to solder, but i didnt know which one to get or even if they can be used for this application as they are for audio purposes...anyway, so your saying i can directly wire the pump in the meantime and it should work?

If the tank has new connectors, leave that alone. Get new connectors for your harness. And yes, they are made for audio.. get the kind you have to solder.. dont mess around with this stuff.. you can do a lot of damage to your engine.

Actually.. get with Steve. I dont want to step on his toes, and let him make the calls. If you dont know how to solder, pull the harness and mail it to Steve for repairs.
