As you can see in the pic, this bolt is threaded at each end and is for the upper left A/C mount. (like the grey one already mounted on the bracket)

I was trying to snug it and it snapped at the threads.

Do you guys think this is something I can find at Lowes? I'm thinking no. Maybe I need to buy from a board member? I have no idea.

Any thoughts?

Do you have a napa by you? They have custom made me bolts before. Maybe they can do one for that?

Actually that is a stud not a bolt, so you should search for some 10mm threaded stock which you can then cut to the proper length.

Stud. Yes. That is correct. I'm tired today. Keep breaking things....
Threaded stock is an idea... This stud was obviously not grade 8 and it's probably not necessary but, I wonder what grade I should look for? This stud snapped with minimal pressure.

If you can, get a Grade 5...standard automotive tensile strength.

Don't feel bad about breaking things......I'm in the same situation.......after arriving home from a long week of taking care of my ailing Mom, (extremely stressful and heartbreaking) I decided to go out in the garage today and install a set of KC Hilites in my '08 Jeep. Got all the wiring, relays, shrinkable tubing, switch location done, great job, very neat wiring job, but hot as hell out there (91 degrees) sweating like a pig, then noticed a small misalignment of the driving light bracket......no problem, I'll just push it back in with a screw driver and a hammer......big mistake....what an idiot! The hammering broke the bulb.....55 watt KC halogen....had to order from Amazon. Almost $6 but over $8 to ship!!!!! Checked all around here but no one had the right bulb....and it won't get in until the 1 of August! Fricken hell!!!!! All that work and I make one little slip up! God, I feel stupid! :bucktooth:So, don't feel bad, buddy.

I think you have worse luck than me Bruce... (I think you may need to stay away from anything related to automotive lighting- you seem to have a special "touch" with those bits:eek:- I'm thinking the taillight incident, as well- Sucks to hear that your new bulbs won't be available till August). That being said, it did feel like TR business as usual when I went to address one thing and 3 other things popped up and then a few other things broke... Well, I suppose it's par for the course.

Anyway, I ended up running to Lowes and picked up a threaded rod for $4.21. (Much thanks to Nick for the idea!!) Cut the size I needed with the hacksaw and everything fit perfect!
And I have a little more left to make two more should the need arise.
