So the other week I bought a set of cylinder sleeves and the guy who sold them to me threw in 2 turbos for free. He claimed they were 70 trims, and I automatically thought they would be T3s (as my friend has a 70 trim T3 on his car). When I picked them up they were alot bigger than expected (T04E) and he then told me they were off of a diesel truck. I have most of the stats, but does anybody know what they came off of??

Garrett AiResearch T04E
.70 A/R Compressor
1.32 A/R Turbine
3.75" Compressor Inlet
2.5" Compressor Outlet
3" X 2" Turbine Inlet
3.25" Turbine Outlet
V band Turbine Outlet
T4 Turbine Inlet Flange
Split Turbine Housing

pictured with it is a K26

With a 1.32 A/R split T4 turbine housing, it definitely came off a diesel truck. One suggestion would be to write down the 10 digit Garrett part number that's located on the name tag on the back side of the compressor cover. That little red tag that is spot riveted to the backing plate should have the part number on it.
Then I would call any of these guys,

TurboByGarrett.com - PowerMax Performance Diesel Authorized Distributors

Ask them if they can cross reference it to determine which engine/vehicle it comes on from the factory.
My guess is it's either off of a Ford Turbo Diesel or Dodge Turbo Diesel. Definitely don't want to run it on a gas burning vehicle, as it was not designed to work on a higher rpm gas burning engine. You could possibly over speed the rotating assembly and boom! That is, if you could ever get it to spool up with that monster turbine housing. A lot of people make the mistake of taking a junk yard diesel turbo and trying to make it work on their V8 turbo projects.
Hope this helps.
