im just about to finally fire up my car today for the first time in 7 months. just have to drop the radiator back in and put the belts on and thats it :D . however, theres one connector that i cannot remember where it goes. its green in color with a single blade type connector inside it. the wire is dangling by my fuel filter and i cannot seem to find any place to call it home around that area

anyone know where its supposed to go?

This connector is not used. It is for an aftermarket tach.
Congrats! One more on the raod and one less garage queen. :D

thats good to hear!

kinda weird though that GM would provide a lead for an aftermarket item. its almost as if they were admitting the LED gauge tach on the dash was useless!

Actually it's for diagnostics use instead of poking a hole into a wire to get a signal or probing into the back of the connector and letting moisture in that way. GM still does this. Look on the late model ignitions that had the coil mounted away from the distributor cap and there is a connector off the white wire for "tach test".
