I bought a bunch of wire and ran it into the car, under the center console, and out the side of the console between the console and drivers seat. Used the black plastic wire cover over the long length of exposed wire. Used velcro on the back of the Trans + and mounted it on the side of the console between it and the seat, hidden from view.
You can leave the screws out of the cover and it will just pop out when you need to adjust the settings. A passenger could even adjust the Trans plus going down the road now. Sometimes I even add 2% fuel at WOT if I get any knock in third. I have also read about people putting the Trans plus in back of the glovebox lid so it is visible when it is pulled completely forward out of the dash. I have the BstC commander and am always tinkering(maximizing) the boost level too.
Mine is located on the upper left corner of the dash pod by
the windshield pillar . You should take in to consideration
that you will need to view it especially under wide open
throttle. I sure wouldn't want to take my eyes off the track
to check my o2's or my KR.
Just my 2 cents
Sorry , I had a brain fart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Confused it with my
Scanmaster.
Mine is located on my drivers side inner fender support. It makes
it convienent for me when making the necessary adjustments .
Such as fuel pressure, tps, or when pumping out gas tank for
fuel change. Plus it is out of the way.
To the rear of the windshield washer reservoir. http://www.buickgn.com/transpluslid1.jpg
Please note that these are not supposed to be waterproof but I haven't had any problems with mine. I try not to get caught in the rain and I rarely wash the car anyway. (Meguires Quick Detail is used on a regular basis) You can cover up that gaudy cover sticker with one of our custom plates too. I know, shameless plug.
