im trying to get my blower motor to work. ive read hella threads so now i am diggin into her. where is that resistor at?

I belive it is near the blower motor under the hood. It should have a flat connector on it with I think 3 or 4 wires. Look by the tube that goes from the motor to the heater box.

resistor is on the top of the ac box under the hood , 4 spade terminals in a row and the resistor elements are inside of the box , have to remove two screws and youll see

but that only controls the fan in low med positions ..on high it bypasses the blower resistor so if you fan doesn't work on high that resistor set is not your problem

KEY ON fan on HIGH
if no 12v at fan check the blower relay ..rectangular metal box thats mounted hanging on the a/c box behind the accumulator/drier
easy way to check is to have a spare good one to swap
if no 12v to relay at orange wire check the fuse at the fuse box (a/c 25A) (if power trunk works its not the fuse)
if no 12v at the red wire than you have a fusible link issue

if voltages are good at relay but you don't have 12v at purple wire to fan... replace the relay
if you have 12v at fan but no blower check the ground wire connections at the motor , if thats good and motor doesn't run then replace fan

if fan works high but no low med ... relay could be bad , or check connections at blower resistor , the resistor is just an element , not much to go bad except for the contacts at the harness , if on low/med no power to blue wire at relay check the controller itself (the plugs to the controller) or possibly the ignition switch

if fuse is good and no power to the relay at orange .. time to look at the connections to the ac controller under the dash ,

Is this for the 84 in your sig? I would be helpfull if you stated whether it is the standard C60 AC or the C68 Climate Control. Two totally different beasts there. If it's C60 than Pauls post is what you need. The C68 uses a Blower Control Module located in the same hole as the C60's resistor.
