My intank XP pump just died..where's the best place to get a good intank pump....thanks

Racetronix, Full throttle, cottons, red, poston, ramchargers, se turbo, a lot of the vendors on the home page sell them, and they are all right around $100.

First time I've heard anything bad about racetronix. I've only heard very good things about there products and service. Forget summit or jegs, support our small group of buick vendors.

Cottons has always been good to me, so has Full Throttle.

I think I actually have a good 340 sitting around the garage somewhere. Probably has about 5000 miles on it, changed it out because I thought the pump was bad, turned out to be a different problem. You could have it if you wanted. I'd understand if you wanted a new pump though.

Yeah, I've heard alot about racetronic, like you can never talk to an individual on the phone and everything has to be done by internet, I'll stay away from that....I wouldn't buy a candy bar from full throttle, let alone an automotive part.....I see Cotton has them for 145$......Hey Greasemonkey, I see that you list your area as Anderson and Laffayette, when and where in Anderson do you go, I might be interested.

I'm just outside of Chesterfield. I'll look and see if I can find the pump when I get home, got too much stuff in the garage.

Well then don't

and when you act like an ass, next time people aren't going to bother with helping you.

Why not Full Throttle? He was the original owner of this board and initiated the development of many cool things for these buicks. Mike is very good people. Never had a bit of problems with him.

with a reply like that I would rather that you never reply to a post I make...fair enough ?

....for your sake I hope you don't have your ass burned for 2 or 3 grand by a vendor...good luck to you...

where

JACK COTTON will help you in any way he can! I know first hand he is a great guy and reasonable vendor! I am sure any of the vendors who support this board are good to deal with! :) Do not let one opinion spoil the great experiences we all have shared. :D I am sure Cotton will stand behind any product he markets. :D

Greasemonkey is da man

Greasemonkey showed up in my garage thursday evening with a walbro 340 in his hand to let me try. His pump is working fine but didn't cure my problem. Cotton has good parts and good service, a good friend of mine deals with him alot and has no complaints. It's just there are some vendors I would rather not deal with at all. It's my choice, even though smokin6 thinks otherwise....some people just don't have any common sense....

You have heard wrong. Please read this thread from top to bottom and see how it turned out.

We answer support e-mails all week long into the late hours of the morning. If the problem justifies a phone call then we will call. In most cases e-mail has proven to be the best method of support.

FYI Walbro does not offer warranty on their pumps as of March 1, 2004.

when are you going to call tag my defective fuel pump< how dare you come on here and white wash your guilty a$$, AND DELETE THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR LACK OF FAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOU LYING BASTARD

You did not want to return the pump for evaluation or provide a deposit for a replacement. You accused us of deliberately selling you a defective pump and chose to send threatening e-mails using vulgar language. You also started to harass the administrators of this site accusing them on being in on some imaginary conspiracy.

Based on your consistent posts here it is quite obvious who has the real issues. When you learn to speak with a civil tongue and follow with warranty claim procedure then perhaps we will entertain the idea of submitting your pump for warranty consideration to Walbro. Walbro are the ones who make the pumps, set warranty policy and decide if a pump qualifies for replacement.

Durring the installation of your pump, it was discovered (not to be running at proper speed) and gas tank had to be removed again and A new pump OVERNIGHT shippe from SUMMIT racing was installed , YOUR pump proved to be defective,

RIGHT THEN AND THERE, you should have been willng to pay for the return postage, IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT YOUR PUMP FAILED< it is ON you to pay for return postage , NOT ME< PLUS GIVE ME A FULL CASH REFUND for the pump, SINCE i had to pay for one elsewhere, I needed a new pump RIGHT away, I am still waiting on YOU,
THE ISSUES I GOT , are NOT WITH WHAT YOU SELL, it is how YOU handle A PROBLEM< YOU DO NOT WANT TO FACE THE MUSIC< HIDE BEHIND EMAILS , AND TRY TO WHITEWASH AND CANDY COAT THIS PROBLEM HERE ON THE BOARD,
LIKE I SAID < the first pump I bought from you, is still working fine, the last one is still sitting on the dining room table in LIMBO , YOU GOT MY MONEY AND I GOT A WORHLESS FUEL PUMP THAT DOES NOT WORK< YOU WON, YOU ALSO WON"T last long doing buisiness the way you do. WAIT AND SEE< JUST WAIT AND SEE, keep treating people like the way you ignored my request and just watch your business disapear, I am sure not the first, A little JAIL TIME is what you need.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND I WANT YOU TO CALL TAG ThE PUMP< PERIOD !

Again, there are certain procedures that must be followed when making a warranty claim.
We do not send out replacement product without having a deposit or the defective part which has been proven to have failed under circumstances covered under the manufacturer's warranty policy. Walbro makes the product, sets the warranty procedure and test criteria. If Walbro deems that the pump sent back has failed due to manufacturer's defect then they will provide a replacement. If you don't like their answer then you can take it up with Walbro in Michigan.

You are the one who tried to dictate the terms of the warranty claim procedure and this is where the problem lies. We do not provide compensation for your time to replace the pump, return shipping or your gas to run to the post office to return it (nor does Summit or any other vendor). All warranty replacements are sent out at our expense. When you required an overnight replacement we could have arranged to have one sent from one of our dealers such as Thunder Racing, Anderson's, G-Body or BNE. You chose to jump the gun and buy a replacement from Summit Racing. We do not provide compensation for product acquired outside of our dealer network.

Our warranty policy and claim procedure is pretty much standard procedure in the industry so none of this should come as any surprise.

You are still welcome to send the pump back following proper procedure. We will submit the pump for warranty consideration to Walbro.
