A stock adjustable will get you the lower limit of 12#, but may not get you to the upper limit of 20# with out a LOT of turns on the adjustment rod.
I had a high boost actuator made for my by Cotton's Performance, but instead of the usual 17# spring I had them put in a lighter 14# spring (minimum boost) and use two solenoids in parallels to dump more air and can easilly exceed 24-25# of boost if I turn the controller all the way up. I use the my Translator Pro as my boost controller, controlling the stock solenoids in closed loop.
Keep in mind that the stock solenoid only has about a 7# spread from min to max, then you have to start adding turns on your adjustable actuator (which in turn moves the min up.)
