Does anybody have any suggestions on what chip I should use with my alcohol kit. I currently have the RA 93 and RA 108 chips for blue tops. I really don't plan on racing my car at the track that often, but want it to run good on the street. I'm hoping to turn the boost to 20 to 22 with alky and 93 octane. Would the 108 chip be ok for day to day driving, or should I just stick with the 93 chip and turn the boost up until I get knock? I'm a newbie so any advice would be appreciated.

In my mostly stock GN when I finish the alky. kit I'm going to use the Reds' 93 chip and turn up the boost til it knocks.

Should work fine for street use.

If you plan on going to the track with alky. try the 108 chip at low boost and work your way up with it.

Be careful either way. If you want to spend money you can always get a higher timing chip and Direct Scan for detailed tuning.
 
I'm using the Reds 93 chip with mine(stock injectors). I can run 19psi without any knock. At 20psi, I get anywhere from 0-3 degrees.

My car doesn't like any race chip with alky. I get anywhere from 10-20 degrees. Just can't do it. They are all too aggressive for mine to work. Maybe the stock exhaust is not letting me get there? My car just doesn't like boost :( I can only run 16psi max on 93 octane. I guess I shouldn't complain with 19-20psi :)
 
With the stock turbo, injectors, intercooler etc I put the SMC kit on my car and cranked it to 21-22lbs of boost (max efficiency for stock turbo) with a 93 chip and had zero knock, but it didn't pull all that great. I put the 108 chip in and lowered the boost to about 19lbs and got zero knock. Turned the boost up to 21-22 again and got about 1.5-2* of knock at most. Turned the alky pump speed up a little and got zero knock.

So by the end of 4 WOT runs I was able to run 21-22 lbs of boost a 108 chip (around 27* timing) and alky with zero to minimal knock.

My car was kinda lazy with the 93 chip. I've since put on a pte54, 55lb injectors and a converter. I'm running a 100 chip at around 24-25 lbs of boost and get about 1 degree of knock at the top of third.
 
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll start out with the 93 chip and see how that works. I've heard that the alky may not work that well at altitude. I'm at about 5000 ft just north of Denver. I'm not to sure why that is, but we'll see. My car definitely seems to have alot of lag off the line maybe it's the chip? Do you guys have any recomendations for a good 100 Octane chip maker. I might pick one up and try that out if I'm not happy with the current chip. Thanks again.
