Well, when I get the 86 WH1 back from being painted I am gonna see what it looks like w/o emblems, but I was thinking about putting the "INTERCOOLED" emblems on either side of the hood bulge and then leaving everything else off. Or should I go no emblems or all emblems?? Help me out guys!

Put some Type-R emblems on the quarters and some NOS emblems on the hood bulge. ;)

if it's black, i say either all of em or none of em, if it's a different color, put em all on, they put some contrast into the paint scheme.

Here's what I have done on both my GN's after their paint jobs.

Left EVERY emblem off. Even took off those funky looking wheel well lip moldings.

Makes the car look real slick!!!

What I did do though to help the misfits who keep wanting to call it a Monte Carlo was to put the original GN badge back in it's place on the trunk. Also added the intercooled badge back there to it.

I have all of them except the ones on the hood. Makes it look cleaner that way, and its easier to wash.

All I have left on my T... are the two "SFI Turbo 3.8" hood badges and a pair of "Intercooled" fender badges (Not an 87 option). Plus the hood ornament.

I'd have no badges, but everytime that I "pull" one off... paint comes with it!

I think the previous owner used MAACO.

I used a tip that I had seen on this board concerning emblems. I took the hood emblems and adhered them to magnet material. I've only done this to the hood emblems as on a GN they are the most troulblesome as far as cleaning and waxing is concerned. So far they are good to 75 MPH but in that section of the hood (buldge) that is a low pressure area. Drew

Nice idea with the magnets! I never thought of that.

One thing about GN emblems being ON the car... Might attract the wrong kind of attention in some areas (Theives, A-holes, etc...)

When I bought mine, all the emblems were in the glove box, which may explain why I have not had my car stolen!

I did have one attempt at theft, but the factory alarm apparently did its job! Just a bunch of fingerprints on the DS window...

6=8. I thought it was pretty slick myself so I tried it. I used numerous 911 magnets, the ones that are on our refridgerator. Stuck them to the backs of the emblems then trimmed them with a razor knife. So far, so good. Then I take them off when cleaning/waxing then put them back on. Somebody had a very good idea. Thanks, whoever it was! Drew
