Which fluid and filter for stock tranny?

What are most of you guys running, mine needs servicing. I've heard to use the 700r4 filter and heard not to.

Also, how much fluid does the stock tranny hold?

4-6 quarts of any name brand atf and a 2004r filter. Most filters are the same if bought from a name brand supplier. That appears to be all you need. Nothing fancy...
