I am building a 200-4r to put behind a small block 400. I have two valve bodies. A KJ2 and a CT8. Which one is better?

I'm new here too and on my first 200r4 build and by no means an expert. I looked up your codes in Ck's book. He list the CT as one of the better of the low performance vb's and says 4000-4900 WOT shifts are possible.

For simplicity reasons you should search for a BR, CZ, or KZ vb. You can find them with the correct governor for $300-350. That is unless you are prepared to be dropping the pan a few times to play with the governor tuning.

I don't mind dropping the pan if I have to. I scavenged a few different governors from the junkyard so I have a few to choose from.
