The only reason I said to buy something pratical and cheap was because you said "you was buying a house in a few years!" I simply thought it best to not have a ton of negitive debt when you sat down with a banker trying to barrow funds for a house. Either way, I still would buy something pratical since you already have a T-type. If you want to make it interresting, pick up a Diesel...those things can move. A friend of mine has one that does 13.2's in the quater almost stock and pulls more than my Regal with 23psi of BoostA truck will make you independent...I don't have to ask anyone to barrow their truck because I bought a new 50" TV. I simply pull the 50lb bed cover off and head to the store.
I agree with SVORay. Buy something practical. A car is the worst investment you will every make. The cobra may not drop as much, but what were they new? $35-40k? Now they're selling for $25k. That's $5000 a year you're losing plus interest you're losing. I make good money, have a GN, 2 houses and have pleanty of spending money to play with. I'm able to do this cuz I don't blow $500+ a month on car payments. I drive an Eagle Talon TSI as my daily commuter. Its been paid off for 4 years, and I bought it with 20k miles on it for $9500. Another thing to look at is insurance. When my brother bought his 97 SS z28 for $22k he put down about $12k and had $300 a month payments, on top of that his insurance was $325 a month!!
