I'm going to be installing a trans cooler in my TR this week. Looking at the two cooler lines from the trans to the radiator, I was wondering which ones should be unhooked and routed over to the trans cooler?

In other words, would it be best to run both trans cooler lines to the new trans cooler and totally omit the built in one in the factory radiator?

Or should I run the outgoing trans cooler line to the radiator, then thru the trans cooler and then back thru he trans?

Also no the trans lines, which is the outgoing and which is the ingoing?

Thanks in advance.

If the cooler is a large high capacity one then omit the radiator one and just do the aux. With that said if you drive where the temps get cold than I would advise against the aux only as the fluid may not heat up enough in winter months. Garage whores that only get driven on primo warm sunny days the aux only IMO.

Garage w..... what ever happened to garage queens or was that trailer queens??????

Well it's a B&M 70264 cooler if that helps any. Any no my car is not a trailer queen, in fact it's the complete opposite.

Also if it's ok I was going to mount the trans cooler to the X brace on the front of the radiator core support.

Thanks.

Put it in series with the radiator cooler. The top line on the trans is the outgoing line.

Thanks...the cooler is probably best installed as to be the last component the trans fluid runs thru before going back to the trans correct?

Also has anyone ever had any issues with a/c not being as cold due to installing a trans cooler on the X brace just before the a/c condenser?

Texas T I installed my cooler just like how you have yours installed in the pics. I don't even have the lines hooked up yet, however I all the sudden noticed a decreased performance of my a/c. I even cleaned the condenser of all the bugs and crap that were stuck in it while I had the grille out. Surely I've not blocked off a critical portion of the condenser...??? Or should i move the cooler to the other side of the radiator/condenser area? (drivers side)

Oh yeah....now my next issue is finding the proper fittings to tap into the factory cooler lines. Since this is the cheaper hosed kit, i wanted to just undo the lines before they go into the radiator....but that means to make the 90 degree turn I'd have to either kink the hoses or get a 90 degree brass fitting....needs to be a 5/16 inverted flare style, yet no one makes one....gonna have to consult Summit.
