I would suggest you go with 18 inch wheels.

You can run a 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. Lots of tire choices for that combo as well. Mickey Thompson makes a street radial in 295/35/18 which might be the only tire that does not break loose when you hit 2nd gear.

More tire is a good thing on the street.
