I've read the tta.com link about them and have the replacements. That link (if I remember) mentioned a torx bit and a friend. Took a quick look at mine and both seem to have more of the old retaining "clip" commonly used on motorcycles - that you snap off (without bending or stretching) and put back on.

Who's done them? - Any tricks? I'm jumping into them tonight and planned on going at it alone - I've got padded poles I've used to keep both hood and hatch up.

Advice?
 
yea, i'ts pretty simple. hardest part is holding the trunk/hood open. you either need a helper or some support... i use my winter shovel - padded handle, perfect size ;)
 
Did them last night!! - only hickup was that the new strut for one of the rears came through WITHOUT the tab for the defrost connection!! - gotta swap it at the dealer. THANKS
