Who sells a line bias helper spring (used along with stock spring)?

I'm looking to purchase this spring plus a new 1-2 accumulator plate. I want to buy them both at the same place. Where to purchase??? Thanx

Just wondering about the 1-2 accumulator plate . Are you worried about it being flat or scored places caused by the accumulator springs ? I sanded mine on a piece of glass and didn't worry about the marks left by the springs . Is there something I should know . Still trying to learn some stuff .

All models built after Mar 14 1987 , were built with the new 1-2 accumulator housing and a new spacer plate . I'm assuming the 1-2 spacer plate is the same for both ??? I ended up getting a valve body spacer plate from a GM dealer in Las Vegas NV to match the new design housing .

Yes I am concerned about the grooves in the plate left from the accumulator spring. The grooves are a little deeper than sandpaper could probably take out. I'm not sure what you mean about the new designed housing???
I'm always trying to learn stuff, that is why I ask too many questions.

Me too on the learning thing .

I may be proven wrong but , I don't think the grooves from the accumulator spring would be an issue . That's just a normal wear thing . The spring doesn't touch the sealing surface between the plate , gasket , and accumulator housing . As long as the plate is flat and clean with a new gasket , you should be good to go .

The 1987 up 1-2 accumulator housing has a sleeve and a checkball . The previous design does not . The ATSG manual shows and explains the difference . I pulled the sleeve out of mine and put in a new checkball because I had some corrosion issues from junk yard storage . There may be some interchangability but the pros would know . I wonder why they made that change ???

If you are looking to " help" the line bia spring--remove it and install a .250 check ball and then reinstall the stock spring. I remove the stock spring and replace it with a solid 1/8 th. in blocker rod. .860 in length.

Your idea may be what I will do but can you explain what this does either by adding the spring or installing the check ball? Does this do the same as adding the spring? Thanks

You are trying to make the spring stronger. Adding a check ball compresses the spring --making it stiffer--ball goes in first--then reassemble .

Thats a pressure regulator spring,line bais spring is in the valvebody.
