i need to get my 84 t type worked on (oil comes out of the oil fill tube and dipstick tube and smokes BAD) and i dont know who to trust. any suggestions?

If your car is smoking as you describe, it probably has a ring seal problem and basically needs a rebuild. This will be fairly expensive no matter who you go to (likely $2-3k or more). I would take it to someone who can check it out and give you a recommendation, at least.
A couple of people to try: Johnny Ray at Terry Buick has worked on these cars for years. Also, Chip Parman owns the Mayport Auto Care Center (I think that's the shop name, can't remember for sure) and he's a good guy.
If you email/call me and drive by sometime, I'll take a look and help you troubleshoot. I am not working on anybody's stuff though until my T-type's done.
