That there car was modeefied by Garrett Automotive.

1 of 1.

Very nice looking car.

Honest to god, true story, the VIN number on that car is ONE DIGIT higher than mine! It followed my car down the line! (I guess?)

Imagine sequential vin cars at barrett-jackson. Ty you need to make an investment. ;) I'll split the auction results 50-50.

Just gotta post it cause I already had the pic. I really wish I had that kind of money, it would be sooo cool.

Ty, if you buy this GNX i will sell you this GN for what I can prove I have invested in it. It would be worth it to unite them. I'll find another.

When you get serious let me know. I would love to rub it back in Pauls face LOL J/K

I am in Seneca 6-8 nights a month. Let me know when your ready....

When you can prove you own gnx #248 , I am serious. Otherwise right now the market won't support what I have invested in it. Not that I feel "upside down" in it, but right now you can almost always find something nicer and/or cheaper than any given car out there. I like the car WAYY too much to take any loss on it, but them new challengers got me wishin I could afford the price difference. Every time we get an r/t with a stick (like the red one on the showroom) I get a chubby over it. We got a 1 of 500 NUMBERED "mopar edition" coming in black with a stick and I would sell my wife and kids to get that car. Also got a pink one coming that is supposed to be one of only 5-600 in pink but i don't think it's numbered.

On a side note, if you will be through here between this coming friday and the entire week/weekend after that, you will see my GN on the showroom floor. We always pack the showroom with classics for the upcoming cruise night and car show and this year is my turn  . Stop in and say hi, make me an offer LOL.

On ANOTHER side note, the local detail shop guy stopped me the other day and said: "Some sales guy stopped in and tried to buy my wifes trans am, said he was a pontiac buyer and also was interested in GNs, said he knew you too". I couldn't figure out who he was talking about until he added "He was a nice enough guy but kinda seemed like he might be full of $hit." I instantly knew it was you. :D LOL J/K

thread jack over soooory

Ok Bob, do you honestly think I was serious, about owning 248 lol.

I will be in Seneca sometime next week, will stop in and say hi if I have time but no offer will be made. Tried to buy a 74 Red Trans Am last time I was in Seneca but then I got the whole scoop on the car and realize it will probably never be for sale.

You better enjoy that thing and enjoy it.

Ooops just read your second post:eek:

Talk about full of ****, that detail guy was windy as hell but it might have been the mixed drinks they were having:biggrin:

So , how were the cars to be GNX's selected???
I just went and looked at #235 in my garage, and now i am curious!

The cars slated for conversions into GNX's were not built in sequential order. They were all optioned the same, however pulled from the line at different times.

Yeah that guy can talk and if there were mixed drinks there I'm sure doug was there and he's REALLY full of $hit!

I've known about this 248 VIN thing for awhile and last time it was brought up it was said that they were built in the middle of production of other cars and were not numbered until after they were modified so the gnx VIN sequence is almost random, some lower numbered cars have higher VIN sequences than higher numbered cars because they just grabbed the cars out of a storage area at random. Maybe X RAY can shed some light on it.
