alky
Yes, I/m spraying alky in front of the throttle body. According to my turbo man, as long as you get it to atomize, it won/t hurt ( fingers crossed) I will be keeping an eye on my compressor wheel. I/m also spraying alky in the intake just below the cone adapter. Using a 2 stage system, the one in front of the turbo ( .020 orfice ) comes on at 4-5 psi, the one below the turbo (.024 ) comes on at 15-16 psi. That makes .044 orfice total. Previously with a .044 after the turbo the car would stumble until the RPM/s and power came up.
I/m using 6 oz. per 1/4 mile. According to people in the know, I should be using more alky. This coming season I will be playing with larger orfices.
Just got a new turbo from John Craig. It is an 87 unit with an adapter welded to the intake side so it will fit my stock type intake, using only 1 o-ring. It has a 66 compressor wheel and a huge exhaust wheel with a Precision 85 exhaust housing (Q-trim wheel). I/m hoping I can run more than 22 psi with this turbo. I have run 25-27 psi but with no gain.
Then again, it may not pull a fat girl out of a donut shop.
