AN, SAE 37 degree and 45 degree fittings from the same manufacturer for the same specific braided line. What CEO agreed with their engineers in saying, I know, let's make them all look the same on the website for sale with descriptions like, hose end size -8AN and female -8AN threaded fitting and charge two totally different prices too just for kicks. Easy way to double their revenue if you have to buy both to see what you need! I knew to buy the same manufacturer of the Aeroquip TFE line, but for example,

look pretty much the same and their descriptions certainly don't scream- hey stupid, you have a dozen different AN fittings in your shopping cart, but I don't belong with those because I won't fit and if you reordered the right ones when you discover the mistake in a few days, you won't get them in time for the next weekend unless you pay $25 to overnight them.
Of course 50/50 chance I ordered the wrong top one, I think I'll order the second one to see if that is it. According to aeroquip's site it is in fact the 37 degree one I think I want. "Reusable Steel Swivel SAE 37 Degree (JIC/AN)"
Once I get this all put together I'll definitely post a how-to with part numbers and cost. I've spent 6 months debating what to get and I still bought the wrong parts. Hopefully summit's return policy is good.
Anyone else struggle with figuring out 37 and 45 degree fittings? I guess my lesson learned is to call the tech line next time.
