Why wont I ever get 500 posts?

Thats twice now i have been so close and whoosh, taken back down by 100 posts. I wish i had the time to go over and check all the threads and put in my 2 cents but im not that motivated to get my avatar. I understand that they delete threads to save bandwidth, and im not mad at anyone. Im just peeved, for lack of a better word.

All the other boards I go to they can delete old posts but that doesn't effect your post counts, does that actually happen here?
