Why wouldn't 4th gear show on Tlink?

I am tuning my car using Tlink and it never shows I'm in 4th gear. Even when I manually shift it. I always get when my TCC is on or off, but it doesn't tell me when I'm in 4th. Why wouldn't the ecm know the car is in 4th gear?
