Really Aggressive Auto? Really? This turbo was directy from Precision with a fresh rebuild... Why me? Thought we were better than that. I can't even screw this in to my thread checker to see what thread it is to replace it... This was a brand new turbo :(
So if this came out of my housing, what's my housing threads look like now?

Pulling out all the bolts/nuts that are exposed to extreme heat and cleaning all the rust off of them and coating them with anti seize for preventative maintenance, and was having a hard time with my turbo mounting bolts. As I'm unscrewing it, I'm thinking to myself, "shouldn't these be studs with flange nuts holding them on?" When I finally get this one bolt out, the threads are destroyed. Don't see how, seeing as how everything that was assembled was brand new or fully restored (all threads chased if needed, blasted and jet hot coated and/or rebuilt by precision) How were the threads soo mangled on a car that was assembled, then sat in my garage for 3 years with about 5 hours of run time in those three years? lol. So now, what do the threads look like in my turbine housing? I hope they're not mangled either.

Just another example of why I don't let others wrench on my vehicles. Sorry for your loss.

Yea. Lesson learned. I was kind of at a loss, as I wanted most of it to be done when I got home from deployment. Plus I didn't have all the necessary tools to do the job either. :(

I use the tool excuse to buy tools . The last dealer I bought from tried to sell me a warranty. I told him my warranty was at home in my taco wagon. There are car guys and there are those who drive cars.
Thank you very much for your service. I hope you are able to get it all corrected.
