I haven't been really looking into what's current with the turbo buick scene for a while, so I was wondering if anyone had figured out a way to run a wideband into the stock ECM to adjust fueling now?

I'm not even sure that this would be a good setup with an alcohol kit, just wondering.

They aren't exactly cheap, but cost effective. Powerlogger and TT 6.1 chip, or go for the MAF Gen II or Pro boxes. By the time that is done, the price of XFI isn't that far away.

turbotweak had the first beta chips of the 6.0 wideband chips that worked without modding the ecm (MEr needed modding for inputs) and didnt need powerlogger
it allowed input of a wideband signal through the IAT using a simple adapter module he had made up.
with that you were able to run WOT and PE under closed loop with wideband correction , and still kept open loop idle , closed loop cruise and part throttle under the maf/02 sensor control
the chip allowed you to set the A/F target in 1st-2nd gear and 3rd-4th gear and could correct up to 20% , it also had lockup control and timing control +/- 10*

as for working with alky it made things easier

i ran that chip and logged old school ...directscan

today there is the Turbotweak 6.1 and Sd chips that require the powerlogger
or the bailey products ..
gen 2 translator or maft pro can do wideband control available at fullthrottlespeed.com or turbotweak.com ..theres a forum at www.fullthrottletech.com and eric(turbotweak) has a forum if you need more details than the product description.
you dont need a powerlogger with the bailey stuff but logging makes tuning so much easier
