Just like the title says...

whats the widest I can run... I have a set of 26x10.5x15 slicks, and I want to know if I can put them on a 8" wheel...

if not, then I have to buy new tires/wheels anyway so I might as well get all new...

Thanks.

Try to give the answer in inches like I have above. I dont know how wide a tire is by 275 or 295 or whatever.

You shjould be able to run the slicks on the 8". They may buldge a little.
I have run that size on 8.5 with no trouble.
I run 305x50x15 on 8.5" Vectors as everyday tires for many years.

Im not worried if the buldge a little as long as its safe and its okay to do.
Tires sticking out a little further than the wheel is like insurance for curb rash! LOL!

You should be able to put 275 x 60 x 15s on them rims if you have atleast 4" of backspacing.

I am running these on my stock GN wheels and they stick out some, but look pretty good. They do rub a little when I backup and cut the wheel though...

According to Mickey Thomson you should be fine running tires that are up to 2" wider than your wheel.

To convert tire width to inches just divide the first number in the tire size by 25.4 . That would make a 275/50/15 be (275 divided by 25.4) 10.8 inches wide.
