Will 225's fit the GNX/GTA rims?

I have GNX/GTA rims on my '86 GN & a pair of brand new tires that are 225/55/16. Will these fit? I want to put them on my front rims.

im running 235 /55 -16s on all fours for street use and 255/50 16 in the rears for track ,

i see no problems running the 225 /55-16 but they are lower in height .

Im running 225/55R16s on the front of my GN w/ 16x8 GTAs, and 245/50R16s out back. Looks great, about the same height. You can see pics of in in the wheel forum under GTAs. HTH

I use a BFG Comp TA in a 245/50 on the front and a 255/50 on the rear. No problems, except keeping that soft rubber on the tires .

Just put some 225/55/16 on , look good. And I think they are 25.8 dia. so very close to stock .
