Will any headers fit on a 85 t type ?

I was wondering if any brand of headers will fit on a 85 t type or if they have to have an opening for the turbo to connect to. If you know what brand is good please tell me

they have to be 84-85 specific.

86-87 headers will fit, BUT you will be have to fab a up pipe to turbo and lose the AC.

It's really 83 through 85. The 83 use the same headers.

Drivers side is the same. however, the passenger side is different to accomodate the hot air turbo set up. Postons used to make headers for
the HA cars but they're on eternal back order. Check the forum and ebay,
they're on there sometimes. I have a set of Ellis (hooker) headers that I'm
probably going to sell if you're interested. I located a used set of Postons
months ago.

I've got 2 sets of Hookers and I'm going to hack the pass side and make something like the poston headers. It should be a good re-make but we'll see.

The key header is the passenger side Postons. Look around and locate one if they do not make them anymore. The drivers side and crossover are fine and changing them will not change the performance at all. Also-make sure there are no leaks from both headers before the o2 sensor. Brad
