HAVE A STAGE RIGHT BRAKE, WHEN I HIT IT INTO 2ND AND IT TAKES OFF OR IF IM DRIVING AND I STEP DOWN ON IT AND IT DOWNSHIFTS TO FIRST, IT GOES TO OVER 6,200 WITHOUT SHIFTING AND HITS THE REV LIMITER. I TRIED LOOSENING THE CABLE BUT IT GETS TO WHERE THE CAR SHIFTS WAY TOO SOFT AND WAY TOO EARLY JUST DRIVING AROUND AND STILL UNDER LOAD SHIFTS TOO LATE. IT HAD A MODIFIED GOVERNOR AND I REPLACED IT WITH A STOCK ONE BUT THAT DIDNT HELP. ANY IDEAS?? SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT SOME MODELS HAVE HEAVIER GOVERNORS, ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE MODELS ARE? IS THIS A HIGH PRESSURE PROB? IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO LIKE MOVE A CHECK BALL OR MODIFY A PASSAGE?
DOES ANYONE HAVE DIRECTIONS TO A STAGE RIGHT BRAKE THEY COULD E MAIL ME AND MAYBE I CAN CHECK EVERYTHING? BEFORE THE VALVE BODY CHANGE IT SHIFTED AT 5,000 IS THERE A SPRING IN THE V/B THAT I CAN CHANGE OR SOMETHING???
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED...A TURBO 400 IS STARTING TO LOOK REAL GOOD RIGHT NOW!
 
governer is too light .install the stock governer you were given and youll be okay:D
 
HEY CHRIS, I SENT YOU A P/M CAUSE I COULDNT GET YOU AT THE SHOP YESTERDAY.
I CHANGED THE GOVERNOR AND NO CHANGE.

i never read the pms.i can set you up with a heavier governer or you can drill the tv up oil hole in the plate to bleed of some shift delay oil.governer is easier .
 
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK I SHOULD DO, I CAN TRY THE GOVERNOR FIRST AND IF THAT DOESNT DO IT I CAN BRING THE CAR OVER. UNLESS YOU JUST WANT ME TO BRING IT THERE.
 
cool,thanks. I need no more than 5,700-5,800 and right now i have the rev limiter set at 6,200 and its hitting it hard.
