Will the pump go bad if not used for a while?

My car has been down for two months now and will be down for at least a month or so longer. I had just put a new alky kit on about a week or two before it went down. Will just sitting there do any damage to any part of the system? I currently have the bottle filled up with denatured alcohol. There is no battery in the car either.

Alcohol is corrossive. I would tell you to drain the tank..

Spray the motor with some wd40..or run some water through it.

If the pump was brand new never filled id say leave it empty but ounce it has alky in iy your better off leaving it filled or the pump will lock up on you as mine did

Once the pump is wet leave it in the alky. according to Steve C.

I found that out the hard way.

Take the hose off the nozzle and spray a bit out once or twice a week into a coffee can with the test button.

Keep the lube in there and cycle the pump a bit and you should be fine.

Just my $85 for a new pump.
